For whom?
People who feel called to join us, people who want to learn to share from the heart – artists, activists, coaches, people working with people in trauma, therapists, teachers, people who dare to step further into their own truth, people who are willing to rediscover and reconnect to their own gifts, people who are open to re-member and fully inhabit their own bodies and create from a new expressive place within themselves.

What do we offer?
Dance, conscious movement and breath, theatre, guided meditation, Council Circle, ritual, paper puppets, poetry, music and storytelling. We also provide an easy lunch and have a kitchen that we can use for preparing dinner/breakfast – or we can go outside and eat in the centre of Antwerp.

Where?
Melkmarkt 4, Antwerp (Belgium) – in the city centre, only a few minutes walking from the river SCHELDE and with a view over the cathedral!

When?
Saturday, May 6th and Sunday, 7th: from 10h to 18h30

Costs and registration?
200€ – (early bird discount of 10% if you sign up before May 14)
The space can hold 20 participants, so to confirm your spot, be sure to register on time. Fill in the registrationform at the bottom of this page.
“Joining” through Facebook does not confirm your participation.

What to bring?
Easy clothing, a bottle of water, a poem that speaks to your Soul, a song you love, a shawl to cover yourself, a personal object, an instrument (if you have one)

Accommodation?
There are spaces available for those who wish to sleep at the Melkmarkt on Friday (from 22.00hours), Saturday and/or Sunday night.
We ask a donation for your accomodation. You need to bring your own blankets, mats, pillows and sheets.

Alessia Cartoni (Madrid, Spain)
Actress, Theatre of Witness Director, Participatory Arts-Drama Facilitator

Alessia is an artist, a Theatre of the Oppressed and Theatre of Witness practitioner, she was the ImaginAction’s Apprenticeship Program Coordinator from 2011 to 2014 and ImaginAction’s representative in Europe coordinating ImaginAction’s web, social media and communication. As a facilitator, Alessia explores stories of trauma and resilience using Theatre of Witness, Autobiographical Storytelling, Rainbow of Desire, Ritual, music and movement. She has worked both nationally and internationally facilitating community based projects using Theatre of the Oppressed, movement, dance, arts and storytelling.

Alessia Cartoni holds a BA in Cultural & Social Anthropology and Art History from UAM University in Madrid. At Corazza’s Studio Alessia teaches Art History to drama students. Most recently Alessia has combined her training as an actor and anthropologist in her involvement with projects of international cooperation in which she has used Theater of the Oppressed methodologies. Alessia leads a series of workshops called Unveiling Myself, in which participants explore issues on gender and personal challenges through autobiographical storytelling, theatre, ritual and Beauty.

Caroline S’Jegers (Antwerp, Belgium)
Conscious Dance and Movement facilitator, Life Coach and Healer, Writer

Caroline has always been intimately inspired by dance, words, music, nature, imagination and movement. She holds a BA in Psychology and a MA in Cultural Anthropology, and absorbed herself into the cross-cultural study of dance. Caroline speaks the language of the body and journeys around the world in order to continuously expand her vision and creativity. Trusting her gut feeling, she prefers to go to the direct Source of what enlivens her Soul.

Since her graduation, Caroline has been working as a conscious dance entrepreneur and organizer, supporting people from a diversity of backgrounds through the healing power of dance, movement and awareness. She is the co-organizer, Dj and dance facilitator of Ecstatic Dance Belgium and works as a Dj for a diversity of events. Caroline gives personal coachings and healings – making use of her diversity of practices, such as Yoga, Astral Karate, Gestalt Awareness Practice, belly and sufi dance, Soul Motion, Five Rhythms, Reiki, channelings and Body Mind Centering. Through these practices, she also learned to embody that play, awareness and breath are keys to re-creating a life full of beauty and pleasure.
