Tantra Intensive – Laura Carrotti – 23/11 tem 26/11

Tantra-intensive

This workshop uses sexuality as a portal to enter into the unconscious depths of our being. The sexual energy is the basic energy of the being; when it is impeded we are unable to reach our full potential. This work acts as a diagnostic to help bring awareness to blockages and distortions and to bring this current of energy back into the light. When sexual energy flows, life flows, affecting not only our sexuality but our all over health and happiness. We will explore our relationship with our bodies, our sexuality, with our inner masculine and feminine and the repercussions that those relationships bring about in the relationships we have in the outer world. We use the energy of the group, dynamic meditations, yoga, and movement to bring us a unique experience in which we have the possibility of becoming more present, more embodied and more honest with ourselves. From this point of honesty we begin to realize that it is in fact, us who are creating the discord in our relationships and our life in general. Once we take responsibility, become the authors of our experience and can begin to take charge of our lives. My teacher calls Tantra the path of spontaneity. I can’t teach you spontaneity – nobody can. What I can do is help you to follow the trail that leads you back to where you lost it.

What you should know about workshops:
The hours are intense. During the duration of the course you will spend most of your king time inside the hall, doing the work. We use the time to immerse fully and highly recommend unplugging computers, turning off phones, pulling yourself back from any worldly responsibilities and even taking silence outside of the exercises if that feels right to you. You are a grown-up, and you know what’s best for you, but it’s been found again and again that people can go deeper if they are doing the work and nothing else. Try to avoid bringing tons of chocolate and sweets as they can be a way of numbing out when the work gets too intense. Some is fine.

What you should bring:
– Comfortable clothes. Ones that you can move around in, dance in and sit in – again, these are long days, you will regret being in anything that looks great and you can’t breathe in. A notebook. If you are a note-taker and that helps you to learn, bring a book and something to write with. This course won’t be lecture filled, but there will be some oral transmission and if this helps you to hold on to the info, don’t forget it. Also, if you are a journaler and writing helps you to process, please bring your journal.
– Your payment. The thing that would make us the happiest is if the payment is already complete by the first day of the workshop. If that’s not possible, please remember to bring the balance on the first day – there are way more important things for us to communicate about than money.
– Willingness and flexibility. We are going to hit walls, it’s almost inevitable. If you come in eager to know how to work past the walls and willing to admit that perhaps what you’ve been doing so far hasn’t worked out the way you wish it had we’ll be ready to go

This course will be in english, contucted by Laura Carotti, who comes specially for Universa all the way from India to Belgium.

About Laura Carrotti:
7937_10101047924353246_624136474_n Laura Carrotti has dedicated her life to helping people redefine their relationship with their sexuality. She merges traditional Yoga and Tantra with breath work, psycho-spiritual inquiry and dynamic meditation to create an experience of presence and embodiment. From this place the participants are guided through an individual process which maps out the patterns and mental conditioning present in their relating and allows them to take responsibility for their lives rather than feel victims of fate. From this place of responsibility acceptance unfolds and from acceptance can come lasting change. She has spent the last decade in intensive training in India and Thailand. She believes that a teacher’s transmission is only as strong as their practice. She was first introduced to Yoga in the late 90’s, seeking respite from chronic back pain due to scoliosis. Initially she regarded Yoga as a healing modality, a way to strengthen muscles as a method of correcting posture and reconfiguring the body structure. Within a few years of practice she began to see Yoga’s potential for restructuring the emotional and psychological levels of the being as well.
Laura received her first Teacher certification from Yoga Alliance accredited institution ISTHA Yoga with Alan Finger in 2003. Later that year she sold everything she owned, left her life in New York and set off for Asia, hoping to gain deeper understanding of the philosophical basis of Yoga and Eastern mysticism to give meaning to the physical asana she had been practicing. She studied Tibetan Buddhism in the Mahayana tradition, sat Goenka Vipassana courses, delved into various forms of Yoga and began to put together a Spiritual foundation on which the rest of her studies would be based. Soon after Laura enrolled in the Tantric school, Agama Yoga in Thailand. In their University- style, seven year curriculum she found the perfect balance between clear, scientific theory and formidable practice. She finished the program and became the principal lecturer, student councilor and Beginner Level Coordinator. In the Tantric training Laura found the culmination of what she had been seeking, a way to integrate Spirituality and manifestation, a manner of working with the sexual energy instead of against it.

After finishing the program she focused on women’s groups and workshops on sexuality as both seemed to her a response to her deepest calling and an area of profound dissatisfaction in the world. Far from being done studying Laura now spends half  her year in Rishikesh, India where she teaches and studies Right Hand Tantra with Guruji Rajkumar Baswar and is a devoted disciple of Sri Prem Baba, with whom she studies the Pathwork and O Caminho do Coração, the other half of her year is spent traveling and giving workshops.

Laura has lectured, given workshops, and taught Hatha Yoga in Brazil, Thailand, Belgium, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Canada and the U.S. More information about Laura and her work you can find on www.pathoftantra.com
